I am not a fan of Meghan McCain, but I will say this on a human-level, she wrote a difficult tweet and was honest…

Today, Joe Biden shocked America, and the world when he delivered a truly alarming “victory speech” for his disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
The speech was horrific on so many levels, starting with the fact that Joe looked friggen pissed off.
He was yelling at Americans through a sometimes clenched jaw, he came off as agitated, annoyed, and quite frankly, unbalanced.
But that wasn’t the worst of it.

Biden once again blamed everyone for what went down in Afghanistan – everyone except himself.
He blamed Trump, the Afghan army, and worst of all, he blamed the Americans that he left behind.
In these two videos, he pats himself on the back for a “job well done,” and the next one he blames Americans who are still stranded

What Biden fails to mention is that on July 8th, he told the world that Afghanistan would likely “not” fall to the Taliban, and if it did, it’d take a year or so.
Once again, Joe Biden with the confusing “mixed messages,” just like he’s done with COVID and the vaccine – and we see what a mess he’s made of that.
The speech was an abomination because we have not even buried our dead soldiers yet – and we have critically wounded soldiers in the hospital as we speak, and this angry old man wants to be congratulated for the mess that he made?
It boggles the mind.
So much so, that even close friends of his are confused.
As we all know, The Bidens and the McCain families have been friends for decades and when Meghan’s father was first diagnosed with cancer, Joe Biden was there for her through her grief – as we saw on “The View” back in 2017.
Watch:
When you watch that clip, you can really see how badly Biden has declined in the past 4 years. It’s astonishing, actually and if you still can muster any compassion for him, it’s also really sad.
But that sharper, compassionate man in 2017 is not the man who Meghan McCain is seeing today.
And that’s the tweet that she shared with the world.
Now, I don’t much like Meghan and her politics, but I will give her credit for coming forward and sharing something publically that I know was likely very hard and painful to do.
This was a brave moment.

Here’s what Meghan said: “This is extremely difficult for me to say: I once thought I truly knew Joe Biden and he helped me through pain and grief, for which I am grateful. This man on tv giving this speech, I do not recognize this man. God help our country. God help the Americans we have abandoned.”

Meghan did the right thing by sharing what she did.
What Joe Biden is doing to this country and the Americans we just left behind is sickening and scary, and does not represent who we are as a nation.
And to sit and watch this angry man, take a “victory lap” over it, was really too much for all of us to bear.
