On Monday, former President Donald Trump released a statement condemning Biden’s handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan and declaring that if the Taliban does not return the U.S. equipment they seized, then the U.S. “should either go in with unequivocal Military force and get it, or at least bomb the hell out of it.”
Trump’s remarks: Trump released the fiery statement on his personal website on Monday, placing further blame on the Biden administration for the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and outlining how he thinks the situation should be handled from here.
“Never in history has a withdrawal from war been handled so badly or incompetently as the Biden Administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan,” Trump wrote in Monday’s statement.
“In addition to the obvious, ALL EQUIPMENT should be demanded to be immediately returned to the United States, and that includes every penny of the $85 billion dollars in cost,” Trump continued. “If it is not handed back, we should either go in with unequivocal Military force and get it, or at least bomb the hell out of it.”

Trump ended his message by stating, “Nobody ever thought such stupidity, as this feeble-brained withdrawal, was possible!”
The big picture: Trump’s criticism comes after reports that the Taliban recovered troves of U.S. military equipment, including weapons, helicopters, and trucks, in their swift takeover of Afghanistan.
On Monday, the U.S. removed the final remaining troops from Afghanistan, meeting the August 31 deadline by one minute.

Biden’s remarks: President Biden addressed the nation on Tuesday, defending the withdrawal deadline as “designed to save American lives.”
Biden also stated that 90% of the Americans in Afghanistan “who wanted to leave were able to leave.”
“The war in Afghanistan is now over,” he concluded.
