The left-wing media made headlines when Biden shared his intentions to make Chipman ATF chair. Thank God those plans couldn’t be fulfilled.

The pushback arrived from the people across the isle, and that gave hope for the Americans.

The nominee, a former special agent at ATF and current gun control lobbyist, was scrutinized immediately upon his nomination for his publicly anti-firearm positions.
Moderate Democrat Senators in the evenly-split chamber signaled to the Biden administration that they were not fans of the choice and it was unclear whether Chipman would have made it through a confirmation vote.

Breitbart emphasized the effort from Donald Trump Jr and the NRA.
Four days later, on July 13, 2021, Trump Jr. doubled down on his efforts against Chipman by urging Democrat senators from red and purple states to oppose Chipman’s confirmation vote this week–and calling on the public to fight back as well by pressuring the senators to vote against him.
The NRA and National Shooting Sports Foundation have also fought long and hard against Chipman’s nomination/confirmation, as have Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and others.
