He was armed with a knife and a machete
Police officers responded to a 911 call for help on January 5. A resident of South Eddy said someone was trying to break into their home. The police arrived at the scene right away and the K-9 unit chased the imposter. The criminal injured a police officer and also killed the police dog.
We have the bodycam footage and it shows disturbing details of the scene. Officers kept safe distance while approaching the man and they had to release the dog, Jedi, on the suspect. One of the officers noticed that the imposter attacked the dog, so he jumped to save him and shot the Seattle man.
Jedi is our hero!
